My apologies for the very sloppy ending and another Kylie orientated story. The next one won’t be, I swear!

Future Echoes, Part 4.

“ Now why does that simple phrase conjure up the beginnings of a stress headache in my head?”
“Ky, trust me, it’ll work!”
“ Do you have any bright ideas then, Eduardo Einstein?”
” None yet. That’s what your here for.” Kylie stopped for a few seconds, whirling through the jumbled mess of half formed essays and only just remembered French that made up her mind in search for any possible plans of attack. Turning to the silver haired woman, she asked in a quiet voice, “ Does Chaosa have any weaknesses?”
“No. To get her into that bubble we had to create a state of complete dark. Nothingness, humans can’t imagine it, their minds can’t cope. Chaosa was born of chaos, and is a mortal element of the mind. It had a weakened down effect on her. It cannot be done again.”
” How come?”
“ To create that blackness you have to go back into the very depths of time. It nearly destroyed the universe last time, we cannot take that risk again.” Eduardo had a sudden quick flash of an idea. “ Kylie, wasn’t Egon saying something about that new invention of his?”
“You mean the thing that looks like a hair dryer and he doesn’t have a name for? Eduardo, maybe I was wrong about you, there might be a glimmer of life in that thick head of yours after all! That uses electricity and a magnetic field to create time flux’s. With it we could send chaosa back in time and trap her, leaving us here! One problem, it’s at the firehouse.”

They both looked back at the woman." I can attempt to transport one of you back, but the risks are high. Chaosa has completely disrupted all time paths. I think it would be best if you go.”
She motioned towards Kylie. Before she had any chance to disagree that strange feeling began again. Closing her eyes she waited for the now sickening effect to wear off.

Yes! It had worked! “ I never thought I’d be glad to see this building.” As she went into Egon’s workshop she noticed that all the mirrors were blank pools of clouded glass, as were pictures. It was Eduardo who saw her arrive, standing behind the evil figure of Chaosa she looked vaguely surprised at where she was. The woman saw her as well and couldn’t help but smile in her own head. Aiming the gun Ky pulled the trigger. She had to give Egon a five star rating for visual and sound effects. Colours exploded outwards in a shattered spectrum before being drawn inwards. The bubble showed complete darkness. Very gently the silver haired woman reached into and pulled out both her daughter and the vortex. Sending a smile of thanks over to the ghostbusters she sent them back to their own time. Hugging her daughter tightly Destiny decided that at least there were hero’s in the mortal realm.

EPILOGUE

The two of them sat up at the same time, the clock chimed six announcing that in one hour the others would arrive. They both scrambled through sleep muddled minds until they came to the rather large roadblock of the night before. “ Did that actually happen?”
” I, I think so. My shoulder aches.” They both looked down to the table where “it” lay. “I think it did happen.” Looking across at the mirror Kylie gasped in surprise at what the message boldly read. “ Love comes to those who wait.” The clouded glass and writing vanished. What she didn’t know was that Eduardo had seen the same thing in a picture. Turning round they looked at each other guiltily. “ I don’t think we should tell the others. Garr will be dissapointed he missed it.” They grinned each silently agreeing with each other.
On the other side of the mirror Destiny smiled quietly. Their paths were paved with gold and as clear as day. Whether they liked it or not those paths would twine together for the rest of their lives. ***FINIS*** Hate mail, blank cheques, words of amazement, send them all to
